Confidence.

Confidence is something I am deeply intrigued by. Where does it come from? How does it grow? Can anyone have it?

The definition of confidence is the feeling of self-assurance arising from one's appreciation of one's own abilities or qualities. It comes from the Latin word ‘fidere’ which means to trust.

Having self-confidence is having trust in one self.

Do you? Do you trust enough in yourself and your abilities to do that thing you dream about?

And now it becomes a verb. Confidence leads to action.

Do you want more confidence to trust in your abilities? Here’s a little trick I heard on a podcast months ago and have been testing it out myself before sharing it. When you set out to do an activity, do one more of it. Walk one more mile, do one more rep, swim one more lap, do one more lap around the pattern, shoot one more approach, etc.

If you do one more of the thing you’re challenging yourself with, you’ll start to see how truly capable you are. Pushing ourselves isn’t always easy but it builds trust in our abilities and trust in our abilities is what makes us confident.
